Mercy of God

It continues to amaze me at how merciful God is. When we think that the Lord is furthest away He is the one carrying us along, turning us away from temptation and sin. Without God, we are nothing. Many times it is easy to get caught up in our daily lives, the course of busy schedules. Forgetting about God is not good, more than that it is suicide. When we consciously make an effort to thank the Lord for all the many blessings He gives us, and participate in prayer; communication with God, our lives can be complete. When we decide to follow the Lord whole heartedly He opens up more doors in our lives. When we spiritually mature God places new challenges and blessings in our lives because He knows that we are ready to handle them because of our new maturity and our trust in Him. Sometimes we may wonder why our lives are easier at some times than others, or why we have to face various obstacles that come our way. There may not be a clear cut answer, but one thing is for sure, God never gives people things they cannot handle. God does answer all prayers, just not in the way we expect them to be answered some times. It is important that we remain faithful because after all God has been so merciful to first of all give us the gift of life. His mercy truly does endure forever and if we put Jesus in the driver seat we will never have a big time crash again. Sure there will always be constant challenges, but we won't go off road into a ditch when the Lord is at our side. Mercy certainly cannot be measured. The Holy Spirit is poured into our hearts and it is vital that we ask for this gift of God's grace each day to give us the strength we need to recognize the mercy in our lives and also live to the best of our ability. We always must remember to have mercy on our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, as God has mercy on us.
